Some things just get into your bones and never leave. For me, that thing is Rock ‘n’ Roll.
I’m 64 years old, and I’ve had this music as the soundtrack to my entire life. From the first time I heard a distorted guitar riff that shook the room, I was hooked. I grew up with the giants of classic rock, but my love for it never got stuck in the past. I still get that same jolt from a thunderous drum solo or a killer keyboard break, whether it’s from a band that’s been around for decades or some new group just firing up their amps in a garage.
It’s a lifer thing. If you know, you know.
That raw energy is timeless. And for those of you who don’t just listen but also love to play, there’s never been a better time to be alive. The gear available today is just mind-blowing.
